The O-Zen Story

O-Zen is a community of like-minded business professionals with a common goal: to reduce our stress levels, improve our focus and mental cognition, and live a mentally healthier and happier life.

We hold physical classes in our Wellington studio for busy professionals to attend and take time out of their day to resent their mind; the digital form of these classes are available via Facebook Live (if you’re a member) through our Facebook community; and we also provide workplace Re-Set classes for organisations to help de-stress and re-focus their employees mental cognition. The classes are focused around simple MiIndfulness and Meditation principals which have been proven to positively impact one’s life.

Our daily classes are structured to be no more than 20 minutes, which means you will still have time for a quick lunch, and be back at your desk in time to check the rest of your emails. Most days we run multiple classes, and it’s all accessible via Facebook (for our members) so you won’t have to worry about missing out!

At O-Zen, we choose not to conform to any religion – we don’t believe the principals of Mindfulness and Meditation should be segregated or separate from any individual – rather, these are techniques and principals which can be adopted by anyone, from a complete beginner who has never meditated before in their life, to the experienced and enlightened. All are welcome to join, regardless of position, creed or belief!

About Me

Hi! I’m Dane, and I am the principal teacher at O-Zen.

I’ve been in the corporate world for all of my working life and have noticed one clear fact: people are WAY too stressed, WAY too anxious/nervous/negative, and it corresponds clearly with their life outside of work. So, I started O-Zen with the sole purpose to help people become more relaxed, more at ease and improve their lives using simple meditation and mindfulness techniques. 

I’ve been a student of meditation for over 3 years, and choose not to conform to any religion, but welcome all in my own personal growth and journey. Throughout my time as a student of meditation and mindfulness, I’ve noticed a clear improvement in my ability to deal with stressful situations and people, which is why I want to help bring these principals to YOU!

I am a business professional; a rugby player and sport enthusiast; a self-proclaimed Star Wars and Harry Potter nerd; movie lover; PlayStation gamer; bicyclist and adrenaline junkie; older brother, younger brother, uncle, cousin, nephew and lover to my beautiful Fiance.
